Software Development Manager, Regulatory

Job Description
Client Summary:
  • A leading provider of cloud-based software solutions for the healthcare industry, specializing in electronic health records (EHR), practice management, and patient engagement tools.
  • The platform is designed to streamline administrative workflows, enhance clinical efficiency, and improve patient outcomes for specialty medical practices.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory & Compliance Mastery
    • Extensive knowledge of HIPAA, Meaningful Use, the Cures Act
    • Experience implementing FHIR, CCDA, eCQMs, SDOH, USCDI for healthcare interoperability
    • Deep understanding of EMR/EHR systems and compliance-driven software development
  • Software Development & Technical Leadership
    • Expertise in C#, C++, MS SQL, and microservices architecture
    • Leads SCRUM teams, implementing CI/CD pipelines, Code Reviews and Unit Testing
    • Hands-on in designing, coding and testing to ensure secure and scalable solutions
    • Familiar with Microsoft Azure, DevOps tools (Git, GitHub, Jira)
  • Team Leadership & People Management
    • Mentors and develops high-performing engineering teams
    • Provides technical guidance while fostering innovation and collaboration
    • Leads teams through complex project scoping, feasibility assessment and execution
    • Manages stakeholder expectations across product, compliance and development teams
  • Project & Stakeholder Management
    • Works closely with product owners and business leaders to ensure compliance without sacrificing usability
    • Strong ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining regulatory compliance
    • Experience in resolving advanced software issues in customer-facing applications

Experience & Skills:
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Years of Experience: 10+ years in software development, 6+ years in Microsoft tech stack, 3+ years in SQL Server
  • Industry Focus: Healthcare IT, Compliance & Regulatory Software, Interoperability
  • Current Role: Managing high-performing development teams focused on compliance-driven healthcare applications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Work Style: Strategic leader with hands-on technical expertise; thrives in fast-paced, compliance-driven environments
