Our client, a start-up style environment owned by a stable Publicly-traded company, located near Union Station has engaged ROSS to help them recruit a Senior Software Developer or Software Architect. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide contingency recruitment in addition to remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation.
In this role you will be responsible for the defining the architecture for all new software development projects. These applications range from websites to internal dashboards to automation applications that aim to serve either public consumers or internal teams. Your experience will include the definition of architecture and technical requirements for complex e-commerce based websites.

Technical Requirements
- Planning and technical selection for new projects
- Scalability
- Development experience with knowledge of ASP.Net, C#,
- HTML, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery
- Familiar with MVC and other frameworks
- Has experience with documentation tools, also knows VISIO
- Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server, PostgresSQL and MySQL
- Experience with SOAP and REST API’s
- Knowledge of IIS or Apache
- Middleware – Service Bus
- Application Security
- Experience with Parallels or Jawcracker is ideal
Essential Functions:
- Defining the technical architecture and direction of all new projects
- Reviewing the impact of changes requests
- Plan, Develop, document and deliver applications on aggressive deadlines
- Unit and functional testing and implementation
- Contribute to development and troubleshooting of existing applications
- Understand and forecast the impact of changes to existing applications \ reporting, etc
- Play a key role in requirements and design meetings
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies
- Coordinate deployment of large scale sites with other teams within the company
