Site Safety & Health Officers (SSHO)
The candidate must have a good working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration Act, EM 385-1-1 and relevant ANSI standards.
The following requirements are non-negotiable for this position.
Please ensure your resume reflects the 5 years of construction project experience in detail (project duration, project cost, project scope and specific safety duties):
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
- A minimum of 5 years of continuous construction project experience in specifically building renovation/repair, roofing, and asbestos, lead & PCB.
Drydock experience is needed for some projects. - OSHA 30 (Construction), Current First Aid/CPR, 40 Hour EM385-1-1
- Competent Person in fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, excavation & trenching, electrical safety (lockout-tagout), PPE, health hazard recognition, and rigging
- A minimum of 24 hrs. of documented formal safety training for every year for the past 5 years to meet the USACE/NAVFAC SSHO requirements.
