Shopify Solution Architect

BCTG's client is seeking a Shopify Solution Architect to join a Shopify E-Commerce and POS implementation beginning in mid-September 2026. The role will join a larger team and certified Shopify Partner to drive the implementation with best practices and expert-level Shopify skills. The project is based in New York City but the team can work remote with only occasional visits to NYC. See project need below:

Scope / Experience Requirements

• Led delivery of complex Shopify and Shopify Plus implementations from discovery through launch
• Deep expertise across Shopify ecommerce, Shopify POS, and omnichannel retail capabilities
• Experience designing solutions for complex retail operations including inventory, fulfillment, promotions, returns, and customer journeys
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable Shopify architecture and technical requirements for customizations
• Familiarity with integrations across ERP (preferably BlueCherry), Proximity, and other supporting tools
• Experience delivering global ecommerce solutions with both Shopify Markets and Global-E
• Experience optimizing performance, SEO, accessibility, and maintainability
• Preferred experience with apparel, luxury, or premium retail brands, leveraging high-touch selling models, clientele-ing, or similar personalized customer experiences
• Strong understanding of Shopify best practices, limitations, extensibility, and platform roadmap
