Shop Mechanic

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $58,500-$74,300/year + Company Benefits

About the Company:
Our client is a supplier of material handling equipment. They have been in the industry for over 60 years and pride themselves on being the largest supplier of material handling solutions in Canada.

They are expanding at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Shop Mechanic to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair various types of material handling equipment
• Look up part numbers required for repairs and place orders with parts department
• Source parts and contact parts suppliers
• Maintain service manuals and update service bulletins of any important information that needs to be conveyed to other employees
• Keep work area clean and in good working condition (i.e. tools, parts, PPE, health & safety policies, service manuals)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess at least 3 years of experience working in either the automotive or heavy equipment industry
• Prior experience in repairing and servicing forklifts is considered to be a strong asset
• Must possess a valid drivers’ license with access to a vehicle
• Experience with industrial equipment that involves lifting/rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment
