Shipping / Receiving Job Description

  • Monitor workers during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures.
  • Evaluate equipment for safety and proper functionality (hand equipment, delivery van and fork truck)
  • Motivate team and peers to enhance productivity quality and at the same time maintain OTD.
  • Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for Final Inspection, Packaged & Shipment
  • Responsible for safely unloading and receiving ALL products coming into or going out of MPTC, and then disposing of any waste.
  • Monitor paperwork to ensure quantity, material and certs match PO.
  • Monitor material dimensions and quantity to ensure parts are to PO specifications, then receive in
  • Keep & file records ensuring all paperwork as to MPTC AS9110 Standards.
  • Monitor deliveries, that the driver is managing delivery times properly.
  • Part Marking is completed based on OEM’s specifications throughout the day, then get prepared for next process.
  • Place all Raw and Finished Good material properly in correct bay locations.
  • Ensure all products are received timely, properly and assigned a bay and put away daily.
  • Monitor and move all products that come in the door, getting them to their proper place
  • Ensure that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards of organization.
  • Coordinate with Scheduler for any outside carriers. Communicate with Scheduler on when the pickup time, and who it’s with.
  • Work as middleman between peers, workers, and management to create healthy communication environment.
  • Ensure that work materials are present and properly handled.
  • You are responsible for Raw Material and Finished Goods inventory.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement Environment.
  • Attendance is crucial for the job.
  • Have a valid driver’s license with no infractions in the last 4 years.
  • Do what other tasks that may be required for the success of the company.

Required Attributes and Qualifications

  • 2 Years experience as a Lead in Manufacturing Environment
  • Aviation and Aerospace Manufacturing is a Plus
  • AS 9100 Quality System a Plus
  • Proficient on operation Vantage (EPICOR)
  • Good physical fitness Basic mechanical works experience
  • Must be safety cautious.
  • Ability to take and give directions to team members as needed for the success of MPTC.
  • Have good time management skills, working together .
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
  • Employee may lift occasionally up to 30 lbs., as well as sit, stand, bend, squat, kneel and walk.
  • Mathematics—able to add, subtract and divide as needed.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other tasks as Manager requests.
  • Clean MVR required
