Location: Remote, Nationwide Travel Required
A nationally recognized manufacturer of high-performance cooling and air management systems is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to support mission-critical commissioning projects across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute full commissioning cycles (L1–L6) for advanced cooling systems, adhering to both internal quality standards and client expectations.
- Perform pre-functional inspections and operational readiness checks for mechanical, electrical, and control components.
- Conduct start-up procedures and validate integration with building management systems (BMS/BAS), including Modbus, BACnet, and other protocols.
- Ensure optimal system performance by testing airflow, cooling capacity, humidity levels, and safety mechanisms.
- Calibrate VFDs, actuators, and sensors to meet engineered performance benchmarks.
- Troubleshoot field issues and implement resolutions in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Deliver end-user training for operations and preventative maintenance best practices.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, punch lists, and commissioning documentation for client handoff and internal quality assurance.
- Uphold OSHA and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC commissioning, mechanical startup, or mission-critical system deployment.
- Deep understanding of chilled water and DX cooling systems, CRAH/CRAC units, and airflow systems.
- Strong familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems (480V), VFDs, and controls integration.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics, IOMs, and startup sequences.
- Working knowledge of BAS platforms (Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls, etc.) and communication protocols.
Certifications & Physical Requirements:
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to travel 100% nationwide with some weekend availability.
- Capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working in equipment/mechanical rooms.
