The leader is locally based and engaged in the day-to-day success of the team.
The Position:
The Service Sales Representative is a true hunter role focused on driving organic growth through proactive prospecting and relationship development. The position centers on selling recurring preventive maintenance agreements and repair services within the commercial HVAC space. This role requires disciplined pipeline management, consistent outbound activity, and a strong focus on profitable growth. The salesperson maintains ownership of accounts through the first renewal cycle before transitioning them to account management, allowing continued focus on new business generation.
Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned):
- Proactively prospect for new commercial customers through cold calling, networking, email outreach, and in-person visits
- Sell preventive maintenance agreements and recurring service solutions
- Build, manage, and maintain a consistent sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Maintain high daily activity levels, including calls, meetings, and follow-ups
- Engage facility managers, property managers, and senior decision-makers
- Close new service agreements with a focus on gross margin performance
- Maintain ownership of accounts through the first renewal cycle before transitioning them to account management
Qualifications:
- Proven hunter mentality with a documented track record of generating net-new business
- Experience selling recurring or contract-based service offerings
- Comfort operating in a metrics-driven, high-activity sales environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
Education and Experience:
- Background in commercial HVAC, mechanical services, or related facilities services preferred
- Experience selling to commercial or industrial customers
- Ability to clearly articulate past sales performance, activity levels, and pipeline metrics
