This role will require you to be responsible for the Service Department Operations. Ensuring it runs efficiently and offering genuine support to customers. Experience in refrigeration is needed. EPA certification is a plus, but not required.

This manufacturer specializes in high-quality walk-in coolers and freezers.

Duties And Responsibilities: Plans and coordinates service activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating, and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties:

Manages the warranty program.
Manages service program to include arranging service when contacted by customers who have purchased extended labor service policies from us, helping to establish selling prices for our extended labor service warranty policies.
Requisition’s replacement parts and supplies. Works with appropriate personnel to establish parts pricing.
Supervises and trains Second Service Manager, Parts Manager and Service Administrative Assistant.
Review’s performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives and inspects malfunctioning or damaged equipment to determine nature and scope of problem.
Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
Coordinate’s problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
Provides on-site technical assistance for equipment to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Diagnoses problems over the telephone and walks technicians through resolution of problems.
Maintains records of performance reports.
Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems.
Revised 10/29/2021Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.Establishes and maintain Service Network of Installers/Service Organizations. This could include a formal contract, establishment of labor rates, etc.Develops and maintains a printed installation, operations,and maintenance manual to include both the walk-in and refrigeration. This would include instructions for the replacement of component parts.Develops and maintains a printed (in-house computer) manual forour marketing agents concerning parts, service,and warranty
