Service Line Director of Clinical Support Services

Our client is a 130+ bed boutique surgical hospital that is affiliated with the largest and most decorated system in California. Their patient-friendly size makes it easy to get around, and gracious team members treat you like a VIP.
They concentrate on four areas of expertise: spine, weight loss, orthopedics and minimally invasive surgery. This focus allows us to provide an excellence of care usually found only at a large, academic facility — but in an intimate, personal and convenient setting.
They are selective in which services they provide, but perform those services extraordinarily well.
Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of clinical support services, to include: Imaging Services, Transportation and Decedent Affairs, Laboratory Services, Cardiopulmonary /Respiratory services, Rehab Services, Pharmaceutical services, Plant Operations, and Security. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all personnel. Assists in formulating the budget. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all Joint Commission, CMS, OSHPD, State, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certified by the State of California to practice and administer radiation (required).
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (preferred).
- Current BCLS certification (required).
- Background in imaging Services administration.
- Experience such as Supervisor or Assistant Director of an Imaging Services department (required).
- At least five (5) active years in a department with diagnostic and special procedures experience (preferred).
- At least (3) years’ experience in a director or service line leadership position in an acute care facility (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Master’s degree in Health Care Administration of Business (preferred).
