  • Act as a technical authority and subject matter expert for microgrid, power generation, and electrical distribution systems.

  • Direct the preparation of electrical calculations, studies, specifications, design packages, technical reports, and other engineering deliverables.

  • Provide senior engineering judgment and independently resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Review designs and engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, constructability, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

  • Lead technical assessments, field investigations, troubleshooting efforts, engineering studies, and design reviews.

  • Provide technical leadership throughout all phases of a project, from early concept development through final execution.

  • Support engineering activities during construction, system commissioning, startup, and operational transition.

Microgrid, Power Generation & Electrical Systems

  • Develop and evaluate medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems supporting generation and industrial facilities.

  • Lead the engineering and analysis of electrical systems associated with microgrids, distributed generation, and power generation facilities.

  • Prepare and review one-line diagrams, equipment specifications, protection and control schemes, electrical calculations, and supporting design documentation.

  • Design electrical systems incorporating generators, generator controls, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, distribution equipment, and auxiliary systems.

  • Coordinate utility interconnection requirements and electrical service designs with utility providers and project stakeholders.

  • Perform or oversee electrical system studies using analysis platforms such as SKM or ETAP.

  • Provide technical expertise related to generator interconnection, distributed generation, balance-of-plant systems, protective relaying, switchgear, MCCs, drives, emergency and standby power, short-circuit analysis, and arc-flash studies.

  • Assess existing electrical infrastructure and develop practical engineering solutions for system expansions, equipment upgrades, modernization, and performance improvements.

  • Provide technical support for relay programming, commissioning, system startup, and electrical troubleshooting when required.

Client & Project Leadership

  • Provide technical direction to multidisciplinary engineering and project teams throughout project execution.

  • Serve as a senior technical contact for clients and develop strong, long-term working relationships.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, contractors, vendors, utilities, and other project stakeholders.

  • Anticipate technical risks, constructability concerns, scope changes, and project challenges and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and change management activities.

  • Participate in client discussions, technical presentations, field activities, and formal design reviews.

  • Help ensure engineering projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client requirements and expectations.

Mentorship & Engineering Development

  • Provide technical coaching and mentorship to engineers and designers working on complex electrical and power generation projects.

  • Review engineering work and provide constructive feedback to improve technical quality and consistency.

  • Act as a senior technical resource for engineers across the broader organization.

  • Share technical knowledge, project lessons learned, and industry best practices throughout the engineering team.

  • Support the continued development of the Company’s engineering capabilities and help cultivate future technical leaders.
