Senior Wealth Planner for High Net Worth Clients

As a Senior Wealth Planner at our prestigious financial firm located in Albany, NY, you will deliver tailor-made financial planning services to high net worth clientele while fostering strong relationships to deepen client engagement. This role demands close collaboration with Relationship Managers, leveraging advanced financial planning skills to enhance client wealth and secure financial futures through meticulous estate and wealth transfer planning, portfolio management, risk management, and more. Salary: $100,000 - $200,000 per year plus bonuses and full benefits

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in prospect, client, and center of influence (COI) meetings as the subject matter expert in financial planning.
  • Lead advanced planning conversations and engagements for both prospects and existing clients focusing on sophisticated financial challenges.
  • Initiate proactive outreach to clients to provide advice on significant life events and financial milestones.
  • Collaborate with team members across fiduciary, insurance, and investment disciplines to deliver comprehensive financial plans.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Relationship Managers, enhancing their capabilities in financial planning.
  • Contribute to both internal and external content development to promote the firm's expertise in financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory policies and ethical standards within all operations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct financial planning experience advising affluent clientele on financial strategies and solutions.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial planning software such as MoneyGuide or Wealth Studios.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 3 years of experience providing tailored financial advice to high net worth individuals.
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to work within a dynamic team environment.

Skills:

  • Expertise in a goals-based financial planning process, including assessment, strategy development, and execution.
  • Strong coaching skills to enhance the financial planning expertise of fellow advisors.
  • Extensive experience in modeling complex financial scenarios involving estate planning, wealth transfer, and liquidity events.
  • Effective use of CRM tools to manage and enhance client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to work effectively with high net worth clients and their unique needs.
