They are currently seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Wealth Advisor to join their established team in the Long Island area. The way they see it – advisors deserve to have equity in the firm they’ve helped build – which is why they are looking for dynamic leaders with a portable, HNW client practice, who will receive meaningful participation in the firm’s collective growth.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, seasoned Senior Financial Advisor or Team who leads with planning and has experience working with HNW clients with minimums >$5MM in assets. A CFP is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Primary Advisor to maintain and support a substantial population of inherited, existing client relationships spanning investment analysis, financial planning, tax concerns, charitable and estate planning, and ancillary services
- Serve as Secondary Advisor to an established Primary Advisor to deliver comprehensive wealth management services to longstanding clients while also building a deep relationship that would allow for future transition of Primary Advisor responsibilities
- Partner with an established Primary Advisor to both nurture existing and develop new COI relationships
- Identify and document each client’s unique goals and objectives
- Evaluate, implement, and manage investment solutions to meet client goals and objectives
- Prepare and deliver appropriate financial planning for each client
- Coordinate with other firm resources and clients outside advisors, including accountants and attorneys, to facilitate a client’s holistic wealth plan
- Conduct quarterly client meetings to review and present investment results, evaluate new opportunities, and adjust client objectives
- Manage existing referral relationships to source new clients
- Partner with business development officers to close and on-board new clients
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- CFP designation
- Minimum 8+ years in a financial advisory role with demonstrated ability to retain and manage client relationships
- Direct interaction with sophisticated, high-net-worth households having >$5MM in assets
Competencies
- Ability to function in both a Primary Advisor role and a Secondary Advisor role, supporting a Senior Primary Advisor
- Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgement, and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficiency in financial planning software, ideally eMoney
- Proficiency in investment/relationship management software, ideally Black Diamond and Salesforce
- Background with insurance preferred but not required
- Excellent communication, listening, and relationship building skills
- Proactive self-motivated approach
