Senior WC Trial Attorney- EVERGREEN
We are looking for a Senior Workers' Compensation Trial Attorney to join our team in our New York City office. This role will provide legal representation and defense counsel for insureds before courts, arbitration panels, or other bodies and advises handling of litigated claim matters.
Responsibilities:
- Handles defense files representing insureds in Worker's Compensation matters in New York and New Jersey. Assumes responsibility for maintenance and completion of caseload and trial work of moderate complexity by settlement, trial or appeal
- Conducts appropriate legal action to protect clients on cases
- Negotiate settlements with plaintiffs' attorneys
Requirements:
- Complex problem solving
- Excellent management skills, including training and staff development
Education and Experience:
- 7-10 years experience with Worker's Compensation claims in New York and New Jersey
- 3-5 years supervisory experience
- Experience with discovery depositions, mediations and first chair trials
- JD required
- Current license to practice law in NY and NJ
