Senior UX Designer
This role can be performed remotely until late 2022 and then may require working 2-3 days a week onsite in San Francisco.
In this role you will:
- Work with project managers and stakeholders to identify and understand business requests, requirements, and deliverables.
- Construct a user experience strategy that addresses the project's business objectives, key performance indicators, and the target audience(s).
- Develop a full spectrum of innovate design solutions that can both satisfy the business goals of the stakeholder and addresses the needs of the target user.
- Map out user flows, diagrams and models to facilitate discussions around complex topics.
- Push the boundaries of the current interaction models to create a better user experience and more engaging storytelling experience.
- Create pixel-perfect wireframes, screen layouts, navigation systems, and user interface elements within a strict set of brand guidelines. Consider all screen sizes and devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- Create prototypes to assist in pushing concepts forward and through approval process.
- Present your work to internal team members, creative directors, and stakeholders. Be able to defend your opinions during reviews but know how and when to receive feedback and constructive criticism.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams of designers, art directors, and copywriters.
Ideal candidates:
- 5+ years of experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, information architect, or in a similar role.
- Exceptional eye for pixel-perfect detail. Ability to produce high-fidelity (pixel-perfect) wireframes & design comps, rapidly with a propensity towards simplification.
- A passion for improving and promulgating design processes.
- Must be process driven, possess strong interaction design skills, careful attention to detail and have a solid understanding of user centered design principles.
- Mobile design experience.
- Previous experience working on e-commerce is a plus
- Strong up-to-date body of work and online portfolio (this is a must-have) that is impressive immediately. Portfolio/work samples must demonstrate experience creating great user-centered design solutions, wireframes and prototypes.
- Ability to turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups in an iterative, agile environment
- Proven interpersonal skills, client relation skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Fluency in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, and a solid knowledge of HTML/CSS and rapid prototyping tools
- Experience using Principle or positive attitude to jump in and learn
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with multidisciplinary backgrounds such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, human/computer interface design or commerce/business.
