Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive Federal and multi-state tax returns for a variety of entities including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Manage complex accounting and tax issues efficiently to optimize client satisfaction and compliance.
- Perform thorough tax research on both basic and intricate matters, providing reliable solutions and advice.
- Develop and sustain client relationships to build trust and retain a high-quality client base.
- Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting, offering strategic insights that benefit the client's financial portfolio.
- Collaborate with team members and partners on special projects and high-stakes engagements, providing expertise where necessary.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
- At least 2 years of substantial tax experience, preferably in a public accounting setting.
- Active CPA license or proactive efforts towards obtaining the CPA designation.
- Exceptional attention to detail complemented by articulate communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and self-directed approach to complex tasks and challenges.
- Adept at handling and comprehending complex tax and accounting issues under time constraints.
- Advanced technical skills, ensuring high-quality work outputs consistently.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in trust, probate accounting, mergers and acquisitions, valuation, insolvency, and litigation support.
- Proven track record of improving processes and introducing efficiencies in tax practices.
- Experience leading and mentoring junior staff or managing small teams within an accounting practice.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a capacity to interpret and manage financial data critically.
- Robust interpersonal skills to foster relationships both within and outside the organization.
- Technological proficiency with tax software and common digital tools.
