We are a prestigious regional CPA firm specializing in international tax services for Japanese clients. This fully remote opportunity allows for highly profitable and challenging work, all from the comfort of your home, ideally suited for candidates in the PST or MST time zones. Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcy cases, and trusts and estates.
- Handle complex accounting and tax issues, ensuring compliance and optimization.
- Conduct both basic and complex tax research to support client needs and internal projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding clients' needs and business contexts.
- Identify tax planning and consulting opportunities to enhance client services.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
- At least 2 years’ tax experience, preferably within a public accounting firm.
- CPA license or active progress towards obtaining a CPA license.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and articulate complex tax and accounting topics.
- Fluency in Japanese is required to effectively manage and support our Japanese clients.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience directly managing client relationships and engagements.
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of tax codes relevant to multi-state and international operations.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the capacity to identify errors and inconsistencies in tax data.
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly discuss and explain complex tax issues to clients and colleagues alike.
- Superb organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Analytical mind set, capable of critical thinking and problem-solving under pressure.
