Senior Tax Associate - Bilingual (Japanese)

This is a remote, direct-hire opportunity that allows you to work from the comfort of your home while tackling complex and engaging tax-related challenges. Ideal for professionals residing in the PST or MST time zones, this role demands a proactive approach to handling tax filings, research, and client management for a range of entities including corporations and high-net-worth individuals. Fluency in Japanese is a fundamental requirement, enhancing our firm's tailored services to our clients.

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcy cases, and trusts and estates.
  • Resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Perform both basic and complex tax research.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting, proposing innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with partners on various challenging engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
  • At least 2 years' tax experience in a public accounting firm.
  • CPA license holder or actively working towards obtaining a CPA license.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and detailed-oriented skills.
  • Proven ability to understand complex tax and accounting issues.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the need for sponsorship at any point in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated advanced competencies in technical tax skills and work quality.
  • Self-directed with an entrepreneurial work ethic and the ability to operate independently.
