Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid schedule)
Summary: The Senior Tax Analyst, will work with a collaborative group of tax professionals to fulfill income tax compliance requirements as well as execute on the Department’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, planning, and reporting. This role will involve analyzing complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and contributing to strategic tax planning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct research and analysis on tax issues and provide recommendations to management.
- Assist with in-house preparation, in OneSource Income Tax software, of the consolidated group’s US federal and state income tax filings as well as foreign informational reporting.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax compliance and reporting.
- Communicate with business unit controllers to obtain then analyze relevant tax data
- Complete tax research, tax projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- 2+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting industry experience.
- Public Accounting experience
- Licensed CPA or CPA eligible
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
