Senior Superintendent
Job DescriptionGRC Executive seeks a highly skilled Senior Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Superintendent will work closely with Project Managers, Construction Superintendents, subcontractors, and inspection authorities to ensure seamless project execution while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage on-site subcontractor teams, ensuring smooth execution of all construction activities.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Superintendents, and management to align project goals and execution.
- Oversee the coordination, scheduling, and completion of all project-related tasks.
- Conduct daily briefings with project teams and subcontractors to align with project plans.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Manage procurement and inventory of materials and equipment on-site.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and timeline to meet deadlines.
- Monitor and enforce site cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including daily field reports, RFIs, field orders, and weekly customer reports.
- Coordinate with inspection authorities for permitting, inspections, and approvals as required.
- Work closely with resort or property management to minimize disruptions and align expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a strong academic record.
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a proven track record in construction.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel), scheduling software, and CAD applications.
- Experience in providing detailed estimates for complex hospitality renovations.
- Ability to interpret and build according to architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel and remain on-site for extended periods as needed.
- Valid driver's license and U.S. passport.
- Capability to lift to 40 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
