Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary
Our client is driven to provide faster, real-time roadway intelligence to enable informed decisions with greater outcomes. They are hiring a talented Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in working with the .NET and C# tech stack. This individual will be a part of a development team who are developing and maintaining web applications for various products. The Senior Software Engineer will also work on designing, implementing, and supporting solutions for our products.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work with an experienced team leveraging SCRUM techniques to build customer-facing products
• Design, code, and test backend services
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise mitigation strategies to address them
• Translate end-user requirements and use cases into functional applications
• Establish best practices for automated testing frameworks for integration and unit testing
• Profile and measure software quality and performance as we continually improve our code base

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
• Proficient in C# .NET
• Must have knowledge of .NET Core
• Must have knowledge of Restful API microservices.
• Must have knowledge of Entity Frameworks and LINQ
• Expertise with TDD utilizing a unit test framework, such as xUnit or NUnit
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM process and techniques.
• Strong understanding of SDLC (software development life cycle)
• Experience with Multithreading, Parallel programming, and Interoperability

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good team-working and communication skills
• Familiarity with integration testing framework(s)
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• Experience with LINQ Pad
• Experience building enterprise applications
• Experience with cloud services
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• NOSQL databases such as mongo DB and PostgreSQL.
