Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Operations of a non-asset-based logistics provider in business for over 30 years, driven by their core values: Service, Integrity, and Teamwork. The organization provides a productive, fun, family-friendly culture and values their relationships with their customers and employees.
Responsible for the solicitation, brokering and management of all freight for customers. Will maintain the proper documentation pertaining to all loads moved; negotiate customer and carrier freight rates. Will call and work with existing customers to obtain loads. Will work with team leader and VP of Operations to generate new customer leads, follow up with both carriers and customers on assigned loads, maintaining productive working relationships with customer and carrier representatives. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Sales, Account Management, and Operations (3+ years)
  • Experience in “cradle to grave” environment
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Truckload – dry and reefer)
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Glen Rose, TX
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • McLeod Software
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
