Senior Sales Engineer

Job Description
Client Summary:

Position Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate product fit with prospective health system customers, including workflow mapping and integration points.
  • Develop compelling ROI models and business cases tailored to executive (CFO, COO, CIO) audiences.
  • Deliver persuasive demos both virtually and in person that align with health system challenges and priorities.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to build SE playbooks, demo scripts, ROI calculators, and case studies.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, order form drafting, and executive-level presentations.
  • Act as the bridge between Sales, Product, and Customer Delivery—capturing customer needs and informing product roadmap.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with health system executives by demonstrating industry fluency and consultative thinking.

Experience & Skills:
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • 5-7+years relevant experience, ideally in healthcare consulting, enterprise SaaS, or health system strategy.
  • Strong analytical toolkit: ability to quantify ROI, build business cases, and structure executive-ready insights.
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare system: payer-provider dynamics, health system operations, EHR environments, and patient access challenges.
  • Experience creating technical and business documentation (workflow diagrams, proposals, SOWs, RFPs).
  • Exceptional communication skills: able to engage confidently with frontline operators and C-suite executives alike.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment typical of a fast-paced start-up.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in a sales engineering, pre-sales, or consulting role supporting enterprise health systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact software demos that resonate with senior executives.
  • “Executive gravitas”: presence, credibility, and ability to influence decision-making at the health system C-suite, SVP, and VP level.
  • Familiarity with patient engagement platforms, call center operations, or EHR (Epic, Cerner) workflows.
  • Premier Consulting Firm Experience is a plus.
