Job Description

BCTG’s direct Life Sciences client is looking for a Senior S/4 FI/CO consultant to own enhancements and production support function for this client. This person will be responsible for understanding, analyzing and challenging requirements form the business and provide functional knowledge for systems development and problem resolution. You will work directly with the business system users to resolve SAP issues and optimize utilization of the system. Responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of SAP system-based business process enhancements. Provides testing support, training and full documentation of functional needs and software solutions.

Must haves:

  • Hands-on experience with AR, AP, GL, Product Costing, and CO-PA from an S/4 environment.
  • Integration into SD; rebates a plus
  • S/4 FICO Production support and enhancement experience with:
    • Preparing functional specifications
    • Modifying reports
    • Interfaces with Banks
  • Must take initiative and ownership to ensure solution meets business needs
  • Must be able to be effective in all phases of support as you will be the only person supporting all of FI and CO
  • Good reporting and functional specifications experience required
  • Must be effective and show past performance working remotely; client will hold resource accountable

What you’ll do:

  • Translates user requirements into functional specifications. Write and approve validation deliverable documentation such as user requirements, validation strategy documentation, testing plans and design documentation within SAP.
  • Define, document, and manage project scope, goals, priorities, deliverables, and timelines that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Design solutions and configure applications (SAP) to support day-to-day operations and business needs and creates queries to support ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Works with the business community to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Provides after hours on call support as assigned to address emergency and urgent issues.
  • Assists the business users with activities related to SAP software change requests, including creation and execution of test scripts to test business functionality, establishment of training plans and creation of user training documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ten (10) years’ Work Experience with SAP Configuration in designated module. Must have completed at least one SAP full cycle Implementation as a lead.
  • Five (5) years Related Information Technology Experience with Analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Written, verbal and presentation; ability to engage, inspire and influence people.
  • Achieves Results: Ability to work independently and honor commitment to objectives.
