What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver hands-on and strategic support for compressors, turbines, and pumps – including centrifugal, reciprocating, and integrally geared machinery
- Implement PdM/PM programs using tools like vibration monitoring, oil analysis, and thermography
- Analyze equipment failures and drive solutions through root cause investigations
- Optimize system performance using insights from DCS/PI data and plant diagnostics
- Support turnarounds, shutdowns, and long-term lifecycle planning
- Advise on engineering changes and liaise with vendors and OEMs on upgrades and troubleshooting
- Benchmark best practices and help raise the bar across operations
What You’ll Bring
- Mechanical Engineering degree or similar technical qualification
- 8+ years in rotating equipment or reliability engineering, ideally in petrochemicals
- Deep understanding of condition monitoring and fault analysis
- Practical experience with OEM systems (GE, Siemens, MAN Turbo, Atlas Copco)
- Strong communicator and collaborator, able to engage cross-functionally
- Fluent in English (Dutch or Afrikaans a bonus)
