Senior Health Promotion Specialist

APN Staffing is currently accepting resumes for a Senior Health Promotion Specialist. This is a contract position with office hours of (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) Monday-Friday, Telework and a combination of on-site work. Hourly rate of pay is $38.94 an hour.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and strengthen systems for communicating with employees
  • Draft and disseminate content for employee communications, presentations, web pages, social media, newsletters, educational materials, forms/applications, and related materials
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining schedules for reviewing and updating content on internal SharePoint site
  • Lead efforts to ensure that directions, signage, and other communications at Department buildings are clear and accessible for employees and members of the public
  • Provide strategic communications guidance and technical assistance to Department Programs and initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate communications plans and campaigns and assist with paid and earned media activities for Department Programs and initiatives
  • Assist with communications that improve understanding and use of public health data, including editing, design, production, and dissemination of data reports, publications, presentations, and visualizations

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduation from a college of recognized standing, with a degree in English, Communications, Public relations, Journalism, Public Health, or related field
  • Considerable employment in a responsible position in Public health, Journalism, Media Relations, Communications/Marketing, or a related field
  • Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience
