Senior Property Accountant
Who: A highly skilled accounting professional with 4+ years of experience, including at least 2 years in commercial real estate.
What: Manage full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, CAM reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration for a portfolio of commercial properties.
When: Immediate full-time remote opportunity, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with overtime as needed).

Position Overview:
The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of medical office buildings and other commercial assets. This role will partner closely with internal teams to deliver accurate financial results, support compliance, and provide insights that drive effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and perform variance analysis.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting for assigned properties.

Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, GL maintenance, and AP/AR review.

Review lease agreements for proper revenue recognition.

Perform CAM, property tax, and insurance reconciliations.

Support audits with documentation and responses to auditor requests.

Maintain financial data in Yardi and other accounting/property management systems.

Collaborate with property management, asset management, and finance teams on reporting and analysis.

Assist with lease entry, financial materials for stakeholders, and ad hoc reporting.

Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

4+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in commercial real estate.

Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.

Experience with CAM reconciliations required.

Proficiency with Yardi (preferred) and other property management/accounting software.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to support cross-functional teams.
