Senior Property Accountant

A growing real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support a newly acquired multi-community portfolio. This role will oversee property-level financials, manage monthly close activities, and ensure accurate reporting in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and review the monthly close process handled by outsourced property accountants.

• Analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, GL), investigate variances, and communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.

• Collaborate with on-site property teams to ensure operational data is accurately reflected in financials and deadlines are met.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting packages in alignment with partnership requirements.

• Support audits, tax filings, and special projects; assist with accounting for property-level activity including income, expenses, distributions, and acquisitions/dispositions.

• Partner with internal stakeholders including asset management, investor relations, and training teams to improve financial reporting accuracy and internal processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• 3+ years of property accounting experience in real estate, multifamily preferred.

• Yardi experience is required

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
