Senior Project Manager
Our client, a leader in the loan servicing industry is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager.

Key Accountabilities / Activities:
Primarily this role is responsible for managing the overall responsibility for the completion of large-scale complex projects according to the Project Management Methodology. Projects will encompass web development, data warehouse, client regulatory and internal process improvement changes within a .NET and SQL server environment as well as high impact IT Operations infrastructure changes.
Summary of Accountabilities
· Works with the client/sponsor to develop detailed business cases outlining the project, background and objectives, milestones, work effort/resource requirements and associated cost-benefit analysis.
· Prepares work breakdown structure and overall project plan assigning work to team members including business Functional Unit Representatives, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, Development and IT Operations.
· Prepares and administers the project budget on all assigned projects, providing monthly updates, variance analysis and any request for approval to changes.
· Negotiates and communicates with the business leads, internal sponsors and client(s) as required regarding deliverables and milestones.
· Negotiates with resource managers for designated staff support to ensure that the appropriate members on the project team(s) are allocated and available when required.
· Ensures that projects are completed according to project plan; identifies new priorities and takes appropriate actions and if necessary, reassigns project priorities to maintain the project schedule. This includes coordinating and managing the implementation of assigned work packages or project resources, both internal and external.
· Ensures all necessary documentation has been completed, as per the General Project Management Methodology (GPMM) including Project Plan, Business Requirements, Solution Design, Risk Assessment and Log, Issue and Decision Log, any ongoing action items and regular status reports.
· Assesses performance of project team members according to established performance expectations; provides feedback regarding improvement opportunities and resolves minor disciplinary problems.
· Provides regular assistance to other project team members, by explaining and resolving technical processes, issues and a range of work-related problems and mentoring other Project Managers regarding Project management best practices.
· Reviews the products or services delivered under the project plan for accuracy. Should a change be required (to scope, timeline or costs), ensure that project change request is developed and brought forward to senior management for approval in a timely manner to ensure no impact to project timeline.
· Manages client relationships and provides specialized support, primarily as it relates to the project management process.
Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with Data Warehousing and ETL experience
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification.
· 3-5 years related work experience in a project management/work package lead role
· 2-3 years of experience in a people management role that involved the management of a large number of individuals, processes and budgets.
· Ability to lead and motivate staff in a creative, technical environment as well as influencing others in highly complex situations.
