Job Description
Position Summary:
Bull City Talent Group's direct client has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager to assist with the delivery of Finance & Operations related projects. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of project management experience, significant experience managing finance technology and/or finance business process related projects, and excellent communication skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver on all project management activities for an assigned project or program from initiation through closure
- Demonstrate natural leadership and communication skills to instill confidence in business executive team of expertise and capability
- Manage projects in functional areas across Finance & Operations
- Manage multiple projects and/or programs simultaneously that span across multiple businesses, time zones, internationally, etc.
- Adopt, utilize and enhance the standard company tools, processes and templates
- Work with a continuous improvement mind-set so that all activities become inputs and improvements for future projects
- Identify and manage project and program interdependencies
- Manage external parties involved in the assigned project(s)
- Manage project completion, handover to steady-state, and post implementation reviews
- Ensure compliance with company policies for health, safety and environment
- Ensure compliance with company policies for governmental and local laws and regulations
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of formal, dedicated project management experience
- Proven background of successfully managing large, complex Finance & Operations technology and business process-related projects
- Financial systems experience (OneStream, SAP, Hyperion, etc.)
- Prior SAP project experience
- Successful track record of managing projects across multiple business functions and disciplines
- Proven ability to lead discussions to gather key information, define business requirements, project scope, and solution options
- Experience managing project plans, resources, risks, issues, and communications through to successful completion
- Demonstrated ability to address and resolve challenging or uncomfortable situations
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proactive, with a focus on driving results and outcomes
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately document decisions, discussions, and key events
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% domestically
- Proficiency in using common office tools and technology
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not required
