About Our Client
We are working with a client in the engineering and construction sector looking to add a Senior Project Accountant.

Responsibilities
The Senior Project Accountant is responsible for:
  • All project related costs and revenue tracking/billing, data reporting and analysis and relationship management
  • Leading weekly meetings with project managers to determine progress of project committed costs and billings, update on forecasted costs
  • Identify gaps in data which could have a business impact
  • Work directly with and manage AP Clerk to
    • Verify and process invoices
    • Identify and report discrepancies
    • Manage and maintain control over project invoice approvals
    • Close out purchase orders as fulfilled
  • Prepare AR billings for client submission
  • Ensure AR collections are on time
  • Present a monthly list of accruals and deferrals
  • Develop automated reporting and financial models
  • Conduct reporting for all projects including budget vs. actual report, project cash flow reports, project P&L, year-end audit reports
Qualifications
You have three or more years of experience in construction accounting or other project related industries. You have job costing / project costing experience. You are proficient with QuickBooks and have exposure to ERP systems to assist with an upcoming implementation.
