We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our rapidly expanding food additives company, specializing in innovative drying technologies. This key role focuses on enhancing our operational processes and developing technical solutions for commercializing new products. You will leverage your chemical engineering expertise and creative problem-solving skills to optimize production and impact our growth, scaled recently from $10MM to $17MM in revenue. Salary: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency, capturing 'low hanging fruit' to deliver immediate results.
- Analyze operational data to evaluate and optimize process conditions and parameters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with off-spec materials and production errors, ensuring consistent product quality.
- Collaborate with R&D chemists to commercialize new products, integrating innovative technologies into the product pipeline.
- Conduct in-depth research and testing to furthermore understand and apply drying and blending technologies effectively.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with FDA and cGMP regulations throughout production processes.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in food processing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and utilize strong chemical engineering fundamentals.
- Proven track record of implementing effective process improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with drying and mixing/blending technologies in a related industry.
- Familiarity with FDA and cGMP regulations, with a history of maintaining compliance in previous roles.
- Prior experience in a fast-growing company environment, particularly in the food additives sector.
