A larger DoD focused Government Contractor in the area is looking to add a strong Senior Pricing Analyst to their team. This opportunity is direct hire and going into the office on a hybrid schedule in Northern, VA area.

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Analyst to support our growing portfolio of Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. This role is responsible for developing competitive pricing strategies, cost models, and pricing proposals in response to government solicitations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations, experience with cost estimating, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, prepare, and submit pricing models and cost proposals in response to government Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quote (RFQs), and Task Order Requests (TORs).

  • Conduct pricing analysis to develop competitive, compliant, and profitable cost strategies.

  • Collaborate with business development, program management, contracts, and finance teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategy and proposal compliance.

  • Analyze direct and indirect costs, labor rates, overhead, and fee structures to develop detailed cost models.

  • Ensure all pricing proposals comply with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

  • Assist in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and cost narratives to substantiate pricing assumptions.

  • Participate in pricing reviews, audits, and negotiations with government clients and prime contractors.

  • Stay informed of industry trends, cost drivers, and competitor pricing strategies to enhance the company’s competitive position.

  • Maintain pricing documentation, historical data, and internal pricing tools for future reference and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in government contracting pricing, with a focus on DoD contracts.

  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations related to pricing and cost proposals.

  • Experience with various contract types (e.g., FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ).

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and pricing software tools.

  • Ability to develop cost models and perform detailed financial analysis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

  • Experience supporting government audits and negotiations is a plus.

  • Active or ability to obtain a security clearance (if required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GovWin, ProPricer, or similar pricing tools.

  • Knowledge of DCMA/DCAA compliance requirements.

  • Prior experience working for a mid-to-large government contractor.

  • Understanding of cost realism analysis and price-to-win strategies.
