Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead clean-sheet designs for AC/DC power transfer systems, including bidirectional inverters and battery chargers.
- Engage in magnetics design, filter design, and advanced inverter and DC-DC converter topologies.
- Design and implement hardening measures against DoD EMI specifications, performing all necessary testing and troubleshooting.
- Develop and control 4 quadrant motor systems with emphasis on AC-DC regulation and high-speed switching.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and presentations using standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Work directly with customers and external vendors on project management, ensuring deliverables meet the stringent quality and efficiency standards.
- Design highly efficient, lightweight power systems for mission-critical applications.
- Advance development in fields like generator sets, power distribution, and hybrid power systems, focusing on AMMPS generators and applicable MIL-Standards.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in power electronics engineering focusing on clean-sheet system designs.
- Proficiency in DoD EMI hardening, with hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of various inverter and DC-DC converter topologies.
- Capability in 4 quadrant motor control design, AC-DC regulation, and high-speed switching.
- US citizenship with authorization to work in the United States.
- Excellent skills in using MS Office suite for generating technical documentation and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience where system weight and efficiency are critical design considerations.
- Knowledge of AMMPS generators, MIL-standards, and hands-on experience with power systems in military applications.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CANBUS and MODBUS.
- Background in PCB Layout and Design using tools like EAGLE.
- Experience in firmware development and software interfacing for power electronics systems.

- Advanced proficiency in clean-sheet design for power electronics.
- Expert-level knowledge in electromagnetic interference (EMI) hardening and troubleshooting.
- Sound understanding of inverter and converter topologies.
