Senior Pastor
Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Community Worship Center in Perryton, TX as they search for their next Senior Pastor. Community Worship Center is a vibrant interdenominational church with strong influences from both the Holiness and Baptist churches.
The Senior Pastor is the spiritual leader of the church, and is responsible to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach the biblical revelation, to engage in pastoral care, and to provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life and function, as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This role will need a very hands-on leader who isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty. A pastor who is out and about with his congregation. Someone who is relatable in and out of the pulpit and understands living in a small rural community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the point man for the staff, Elder board and congregation. As such, his primary focus will be the general welfare and shepherding of the church body and includes the evaluation of and prayer for the spiritual needs of the congregation.
- Be primarily responsible, through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the preaching and teaching of the Word of God during Sunday morning services and as often as the elder board deems necessary on other occasions. This includes weekly sermon preparation and delivery as well as overall sermon planning.
- Cast the vision for the church’s future. Work closely with the staff and elders to: identify needs of the church, and, to plan and develop new ideas, ministries and programs, through attainable and measurable goals.
- Lead, disciple and guide the pastoral staff. Develop a team mentality and encourage proper relationships.
