POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the core Agile delivery team, you will help build innovative and inspiring solutions for a range of organizations including many of
companies. Working with our client as a Senior Developer means you’ll:
• Demonstrate your experience with a broad range of web application
development tools and techniques in an Agile environment.
• Employ your skills with building great user experiences and integrating web
apps with back-end systems.
• Build tailored solutions using cutting edge web development tools and
technologies.
• Learn and work with the latest development technologies including
web, mobile and cloud.
• Have access to tools and training that will help keep you current with the
technologies and systems that are pertinent to your work.
• Work alongside a team of collaborative software innovators.
• Apply your broad-based web application development expertise to create
practical, innovative solutions.
• Efficiently implement test-driven, clean, and maintainable software.
• Provide work effort estimates.
• Maintain clear communications with all stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Interact directly with partners and clients.
• Integrate with backend services, databases and enterprise systems.
• Apply excellent communications skills, creativity and practical knowledge to
benefit their clients and to effectively represent the company.
• Participate in Agile project execution.
• Inspire a small team of developers on a variety of client projects to
deliver quality software.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Post secondary degree/diploma in computers, engineering or equivalent
training/experience.
• 3+ years of Senior Developer / Team Lead / Lead Developer experience.
• Solid understanding of core architectural principals.
• In-depth understanding of .NET 3.5/4, C# with demonstrable skills implementing
.NET applications.
• In-depth understanding of ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC with demonstrable skills
implementing .NET applications.
• In-depth understanding of Entity Framework, LINQ-to-SQL and LINQ.
• In-depth understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript and related frameworks.
• Experience with Web Services & Remoting (including ASMX, WCF, SOAP, XML,
XML Schema, JSON, open APIs and/or REST). Experience with RDBMS such
as Microsoft SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred), Oracle and MySQL.
• Experience with Microsoft IIS 7 for deploying and configuring applications.
• Experience with data modeling for new and existing applications.
• Experience with NUnit or similar test framework.
• Agile project experience a plus.
• Understanding of patterns & practices for developing enterprise grade applications
such as Enterprise Library is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services and Azure
is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and ability to learn quickly.
• Solid understanding of client deliverables and the ability to take responsibility
for them.
• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must.
