Senior Municipal Stormwater Engineer

Mead & Hunt has an exceptional opportunity for a senior municipal stormwater engineer to join their growing Florida One Water team. In this role, the engineer will serve as the engineer of record and go to technical resource for Florida stormwater projects. The team’s current workload is heavily focused on local stormwater retrofit projects for municipalities, and prior experience working on stormwater projects is required for this position. The resources and talent that are available through Mead & Hunt’s Florida One Water team will provide the framework and support for this professional to not only thrive but also help to make Florida’s stormwater infrastructure more resilient for decades to come.

This person will serve as the technical lead on projects, directing the design team, mentoring junior engineers, and performing QA/QC to maintain top quality work. The engineer will join a well-established team with extensive backlog working on Florida municipal projects. Such projects may include design and permit support for significant stormwater system improvements, managing and directing stormwater master planning, evaluating and selecting stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP), and assisting with flood risk reduction planning and design. The team’s established backlog, relationships, and range of highly technical, challenging, and critical projects will offer this engineer regular opportunities to advance the state of the profession.

The individual can work from Tampa, Orlando or Port Orange, Florida offices. Hybrid and flexible schedules are available for this position.

Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• 10 + years of experience
• Licensed professional engineer
• Experience working on stormwater retrofit projects
• Florida municipal project experience
