Senior Media Planning Manager

Job Description:


    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

    • 8+ years of traditional (OOH, print, broadcast) media planning experience required and/or digital (Display, Paid Search, Affiliates) media planning experience required
    • 3+ years of management experience
    • 2+ years retail experience


    • Technical skills in media planning, management, and reporting
    • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels both internally and externally
    • Highly effective at working cross functionally to extract data needed from internal teams and external agencies
    • Management experience
    • Self-motivated with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision, independently and within a team setting
    • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
    • Responds positively to change, embracing and using new practices or methods to accomplish goals and solve problems proactively
    • Excellent business planning and development skills
    • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast paced, frequently changing environment
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes, or a comparable email system


    • Create annual and seasonal campaign media strategy and plans achieving enterprise priorities by collaborating with Category Marketing, Insights team and media leadership
    • Manage shifts across all media channels by week (impressions/spend)
    • Develop test & learn scenarios with Insights team, identify opportunities, develop and implement solutions/tests, and measure/report impact
    • Partner with the Analytics team to develop, maintain, and report media performance metrics across multiple channels
    • Manage and lead Senior Specialist of Local Media Planning
    • Develop organizational structures and systems to fulfill organizational goals
    • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
    • Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned

    • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
    • Up to 10% domestic travel, overnight stays as needed
