Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and streamline manufacturing processes for precision components, ensuring efficient workflow on the shop floor.
  • Support sales teams during the quoting process by providing estimates on timeframes, materials, and costs required for new parts.
  • Create, implement, and maintain process documentation and operational procedures.
  • Offer engineering support to enhance and optimize existing manufacturing workflows and reduce completion times.
  • Foster strong inter-departmental relations to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Handle technical issues by coordinating with supervisors, engineering, and sales departments.
  • Update material use and subcontracting processes, ensuring documentation accuracy and operational readiness.
  • Provide essential support for inventory management and work order scheduling.
  • Assist with control documentation, including engineering drawings, material cut lists, and quality verification checklists.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and overall corporate goals.
  • Enter corrective actions into Epicor, ensuring compliance and quality controls.
  • Ensure all job materials and documentation are prepared and verified before release to the shop floor.
  • Maintain flexibility to assist with various documentation and production tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A.S/B.S. in Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of related experience.
  • Alternatively, vocational or technical training equivalent, with 10+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Detailed understanding of various materials such as aluminums, steels, stainless steels, tool steels, and plastics.
  • Experience with a range of machining, fabricating, and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
  • Strong skills in project and priority management.
  • Capable of using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel, for data analysis and report generation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering teamwork and efficient problem resolution.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specific training or certification in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with CAD software and ERP systems, particularly Epicor.
  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
