Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President for a privately held OEM automobile transportation logistics company.
The Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing will be responsible for the overall growth initiatives, client support, and commercial performance management within the organization. Under the leadership of the President, will: 1) Conduct client engagement activities 2) Measure, identify solutions, and communicate commercial performance to internal and external customers 3) Collaborate with finance to provide business modeling for commercial bids and performance 4) Conduct market analysis and champion the creation of marketing materials 5) Maintain current industry trends and presence at industry related events.. This position will have up to 60% travel, depending on customer needs. Accountable for the growth of the business. Develop a sales network by exploring all channels within the finished vehicle logistics space. Manage and build capacity required to support growth initiatives. Ability to build a sales team as business grows and evolves. Lead the full lifecycle of client engagement to include scheduling and maintaining customer visits, assisting in preparing appropriate materials for customer presentations, and provide customer feedback to concerns or requests for information. Maintain thorough knowledge of all customer contracts and provide commercial performance management, working with various functional groups as needed. Work with finance team to assist in business forecast and planning. Understand the financial/accounting of organization at income statement level. Ability to perform rate analysis. Clearly articulate and package information at the executive level. Conduct market analysis using studies to understand market penetration, competitive comparisons, and industry volume breakdown by region, segment, and original equipment manufacturer. Assist in the content creation and development of marketing material. Lead the organization in maintaining knowledge of industry activity, understanding current trends in transportation, industry events, and providing input on participation and frequency of attendance. Other duties as assigned.

Background Required:
  • National accounts management within the auto transport or other transportation business (10 yrs.)
  • Strategic Sales Plan Development
  • Industry contacts & relationships
  • Proven track record of Sales / BD performance (quantifiable)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Location: Houston, Texas (relocation assistance may be available)
