About Our Client

Our client, an agile and fast-growing B2C ecommerce marketing company located in the Oakville area, is seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to join their Marketing and Communications team. This role is a strong fit for someone with direct to consumer and B2B experience, who can ensure the effective delivery of key messages while enhancing the organizational brand.


As part of a large MarCom team, the Senior Manager, Communications will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • Deliver on marketing communications objectives by collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the strategic development and the implementation of customer growth programs and determine areas where we can drive increased awareness of our brand and specific value propositions
  • Analyze and share marketing communication results with insights to enhance and optimize opportunities.
  • Use campaign results to improve email and paid advertising campaign performance
  • Build and evolve product positioning and key messages that connect with new customers
  • Be an exceptional storyteller, sharp and fast writer and have the know-how to translate data into engaging and approachable content strategies for our variety of audiences
  • Contribute to developing relevant metrics for the communications team that align with business goals
  • Leverage social listening tools to derive brand insights and content opportunities


The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • 7+ years in marketing with a focus on new business growth and/ or marketing communications to end users
  • 2-3 years working in Google Analytics and PowerBI (or similar) reporting platforms
  • Proven ability to write strong and engaging customer communications
  • Demonstrated ability to create shared vision, inspire collaboration, and drive change with momentum
  • Demonstrated experience in creating strategies that include leveraging new technologies to deliver on customer needs
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to gain alignment and prioritize cross functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, team building, project-management and delegation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic ability to plan, execute and achieve performance metrics
  • Strong prioritizing, planning, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as strong presentation skills
  • Data driven and analytical mindset with strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Power BI
  • High degree of analytical aptitude and multi-tasking capability
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Google Analytics Certification is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications, or appropriate field of study required
