Senior Manager, Commercial Operations Design

In this role, you will serve as a member of the Commercial Operations team, with focus on building sales compensation strategy, quota methodology and territory design. You will further build critical metrics and strategic analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the sales compensation plan, quota, and territory design. You will collaborate cross-functionally with several departments (including Sales leadership, Finance, HR, legal), with the primary objective of enabling the organization to make effective, data driven, and strategic operating decisions.


    • Responsible for design and creation of total sales compensation strategy to attract and retain critical talent at a growing and evolving sales organization
    • Build a scalable sales compensation model that provides management team to drive strategic initiatives and support company objectives
    • Design Anaplan to build a scalable solution to territory alignments, quota performance and sales compensation plans
    • Lead the development of sales compensation communication materials for the multiple sales groups
    • Drive continuous improvement in sales quota deployment and management, drive automation and governance while delivering accuracy and consistent quality
    • Build and refine quota methodology process to support new product introduction among multiple sale groups
    • Provide critical insights to leadership on territorial expansion and alignment across multiple sales groups to optimize the market penetration
    • Analyze sales potential and rep capacity to establish territories that provide the right level of sales coverage and efficiency
    • Support the implementation of the sales compensation plan in collaboration with commercial operation team members
    • Establish and monitor the effectiveness of the sales compensation plan
    • Develop and maintain critical metrics for sales compensation effectiveness to provide visibility and meaningful insights for sales management
    • Analyze market trends and benchmarking to monitor effectiveness and prepare recommendations according to our sales compensation framework
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure standard methodologies and compliance to legal requirements around sales compensation

Required Skills & Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in building sales compensation plan, quota, and territory design
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Excellent analytical, project management, prioritization and problem-solving skills
    • Experience working and communicating with large sales team and relevant stakeholders
    • Familiarity with sales alignment, territory planning, reporting and analytic
    • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues and ideas
    • Self-starter who loves taking initiative and proactively provide suggestions to streamline and improve processes
    • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with total discretion
    • Ability to influence and collaborate with the management team
    • Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of meeting commitments

Preferred Qualification:

    • 3+ years in healthcare/medical device industry
    • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Economic or Finance
    • Experience using Anaplan to design and build sales compensation plan, quota, and territory design
    • Experience in large scale commercial operation integration or transformation
    • Experience in large scale operational process improvement
