Senior Manager, Trust & Estate Tax (Remote)
Senior Manager, Trust & Estate Tax (Remote Midwest Preferred)
There are roles where you fill a seat.
And there are roles where you step into a legacy.
This is the second kind.
A respected senior leader is retiring, and the firm is intentionally creating space for the next generation of fiduciary tax leadership. For the right CPA—sharp, steady, and strong with both people and technical work—this is an uncommon opportunity to inherit meaningful client relationships, elevate internal capability, and help guide a high-performing, low-ego team into its next era.
This firm has a reputation for unusually long tenure. People stay because the culture is calm, modern, ethical, and deeply human. They invest in technology. They invest in mentorship. They do the work exceptionally well, and they enjoy doing it together.
If you’re a senior fiduciary tax professional ready for a long-term home—not another 18-month stopover—let’s talk.
Why This Role Stands Out
A succession seat, not a churn seat
You’re stepping into a mature book of sophisticated trust & estate work with room to grow—not a scramble, not a rebuild.
Modern boutique environment
Tech-forward systems, video-on collaboration, and a culture of emotional intelligence.
Hands-on impact without business development
The firm has strong demand and deep client trust. You’re here to elevate the work—not hunt for it.
Remote-first with Midwest proximity preferred
Quarterly in-person collaboration near the Geneva/Wheaton corridor.
Stable, respected, and future-focused
They’ve been around for decades and are planning the next 30 with intention.
