Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of DC Design for a global leader in supply chain management.
The Senior Industrial Engineer is responsible for analysis of client data to determine order profiles, storage media application, product slotting, velocity, SKU affinities, and ABC analysis. Assists the sales solutions team’s response to RFPs. Subject matter expert to ensure designs are supported with data and calculations pertaining to material handling equipment, storage media selection, process design and preferred methods of operating. Leads the development of a design package that may include facility layouts, material handling equipment designs, storage media designs, process designs, and slotting and pick path analyses. Manages material handling vendors through schedule, permitting, installation, commissioning & punch lists. Validates all equipment installation, including necessary testing of automated material handling equipment. Develops operational strategies (put-away, waving, picking, zoning, slotting, etc.) and prepares the WMS configuration file with all needed locations slotting/zoning /sequencing/put-away and picking profiles for the facility implementation of new business.

Background Required:
- Industrial Engineering within warehousing, facility design, layout, configuration & re-engineering (5 yrs)
- Warehouse design

- Warehouse operational knowledge (i.e. pick methodology, work measurement, labor management, slotting)
- Warehouse systems (i.e. WMS, WCS, WES)
- AutoCAD and SQL software
- Computer literate: Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Travel: Up to 50%
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Industrial Engineering)
- Location: Tennessee (Relocation assistance offered)
- Advanced Degree –Master’s Degree
- Analytical (i.e. data collection, analysis, design, recommendation, root cause investigation)
