Senior Fund Accountant
Job Overview: The Fund Accountant & Roth IRA Account Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day accounting, administration, and operational support of the firm’s private investment funds and self-directed Roth IRA investment accounts. This role will oversee fund accounting, investor onboarding, account maintenance, valuation processes, custodian coordination, and reporting activities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.
Essential Functions:
Fund Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for private investment
- Record and reconcile all fund transactions, including capital contributions, distributions, investment purchases and sales, income, expenses, and management fees.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting
- Support annual audits and respond to auditor
- Maintain investor capital account records and allocation
- Prepare quarterly and annual investor reporting
- Coordinate with tax preparers and provide information necessary for annual tax filings and Schedule K-1
Roth IRA Account Administration
- Manage the onboarding process for new self-directed Roth IRA
- Prepare and review all account opening documentation and investment subscription
- Coordinate with custodians to establish and maintain Roth IRA
- Serve as primary liaison with custodian relationship teams regarding account requests, transfers, asset purchases, distributions, required documentation, and ongoing account maintenance.

Valuation Management
- Coordinate quarterly valuation updates for private fund investments and Roth IRA-held
- Maintain valuation schedules and supporting

- Coordinate independent third-party valuation engagements for private fund investments and Roth IRA alternative assets.
- Review valuation reports for completeness and
- Maintain valuation files to support audit, compliance, and regulatory
Compliance & Operations
- Ensure all investor and account records are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory
- Track and maintain required account documentation and custodian
- Assist with internal controls, operational procedures, and process
- Support regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, and auditor
- Work closely with accounting, operations, compliance, custodians, investment managers, and external service
Other
- Assist with all special projects as requested

Job Specifications (Education, Experience and Competencies required for the position):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
- 2–5 years of accounting, fund accounting, family office, trust accounting, or financial services experience
- Experience with private funds, alternative investments, self-directed IRAs, or investment operations is highly
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to

Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, transfer agents, or self-directed IRA
- Experience coordinating investment valuations and audit
- Familiarity with private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate funds, or other alternative

The position occasionally requires movement throughout the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, meet with other employees, etc. The position requires the ability to see, hear, speak, read, write, analyze, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
