TITLE: Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
We are recruiting for a dynamic corporate accounting team that has attracted top leadership to the Finance department. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be a pivotal force in the next growth phase of this publicly traded business. They want to put this position on a Manager path in 12-18 months.
In recent years, the company has experienced unprecedented growth, positioning them as a key player in their industry. You'll step into a highly visible role responsible for the SEC 10K and 10Q financial reporting process, technical accounting, and play a supporting role for the month-end close/control environment. The role reports to a proven leader who is known to be genuine, empathetic, well rounded, and values family with work/life balance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- M&A Accounting Involvement: Contribute to the M&A accounting cycle, playing a crucial role in the integration of acquired businesses into company processes and procedures.
- Support for Business Units: Assist business unit finance teams in interpreting accounting policies and U.S. GAAP guidance for complex transactions.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in the company's accounting and financial reporting processes, contributing to a culture of operational excellence.
- Month-end Close Process: Support the month-end close process for corporate entities, including the creation and review of journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations,.
- Accounting Policies Maintenance: Maintain and update company accounting policies, adapting to new accounting pronouncements and changes in the business or operating environment.
- Technical Accounting Leadership: Research and assess new accounting pronouncements, documenting technical accounting positions and facilitating the adoption of accounting pronouncements.
- SEC Reporting Support: Lead the preparation of 10Q/10K disclosures and MD&A commentary on a quarterly/annual basis, actively participating in the SEC reporting process.
- Project Management: Demonstrate strong project management skills by efficiently coordinating with internal and external audit teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of total experience preferred.
- Problem Solving: Ability to work independently to solve problems.

- Collaboration: Ability to coordinate activities between various accounting and finance groups in the company.
