Senior Financial Analyst

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
A rapidly growing firm in the private equity investment space in the West End GTA area is looking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst to support multiple stakeholders while reporting to the Director of Finance. This role is 5 days a week in the office. A dynamic work environment that nurtures, develops, and grows high-performance talent.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Support the annual and quarterly financial reporting cycles
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking and provide support to Accounting, Finance, and Property Management & Operations, as well as providing financial analysis and insights for the company as a whole
- Manage Property Appraisals with third-party providers; conduct external and internal valuation processes for two (2) real estate funds and summarize and communicate results for review and approval on a monthly basis
- Establish, monitor, and reporting on key performance indicators for marketing purposes
- Provide the Sales department with performance trends and information
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision-making support
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or related field of study
- CFA a must
- 3-5 years experience in the accounting and finance sector
- Through understanding IFRS, GAAP, and auditing standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Experienced in the due diligence and M&A area
- “Big Four” or national accounting firm audit experience is preferred but not required
- Strong experience in both financial reporting and financial modeling is required
