An educational organization based in McLean VA is in the market for a Senior Financial (FP&A) Analyst. Ideal position for a Financial Analyst ready for a Senior promotion or an experienced Senior looking to obtain new skills in a exciting industry. Hybrid work situation - 2 days/week in office. Position reports directly to FP&A Manager. Target salary can range from $90-$110k depending on relevant experience.

Duties:

  • Assist with development of budgeting/forecasting processes, identifying KPI's and risk management activities
  • Prepare and analyze periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) financial results versus budget, including prior periods
  • Support financial modeling for new business opportunities
  • Own quantitative data to assist with creating meaningful reports to drive sound business strategic decision making
  • Performance measurement - key performance indicators, budget vs. actuals, financial statement analysis, trends/drivers, benchmarking

Keys:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of financial analysis experience, including performing financial statement analysis and financial modeling
  • Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency with BI360, Adaptive
  • Strong and refined communication and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate successfully with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to commute to Tysons Corner on a hybrid basis
