Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing $2B+ North American Manufacturing HQ. This is a newly created position to support business decisions across the multinational plants in CAN, USA, and MX. It's a wonderful opportunity for someone that would like to grow their career into a BU CFO position. The individual must be savvy with price analysis, cost analysis, and team leadership. The Senior Finance Manager will directly manage a team of 4 Managers and indirectly a team of 8 individual contributors.

Purpose statement

The position exists to drive long-term, sustainable growth in the region by developing and executing strategies that improve Return on Sales and Trading Profit. This is achieved through deep financial leadership that spans both commercial and operational dimensions—grounded in a strong understanding of the company's commercial strategy, pricing approaches, cost structures, and the competitive landscape. The role also provides direct oversight of all financial activities at manufacturing plants across North America (U.S., Mexico, and Canada), including cost management, month-end close, inventory control, and audit readiness. By partnering closely with both commercial and operations teams in a ‘challenge and support’ capacity, this role ensures strategic alignment and financial discipline across the value chain.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support regional leadership in developing commercial plans, profitability, and margin targets, ensuring alignment with operational performance at manufacturing sites
  • Provide financial leadership to manufacturing plants across North America (U.S., Mexico, Canada), overseeing cost management, month-end close, inventory accuracy, and audit compliance
  • Enhance pricing and margin analysis capabilities, and continuously improve internal financial processes, governance, and reporting
  • Provide input to BU financial processes such as forecasts and budgeting
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of cost analysts, ensuring accurate cost modeling, effective forecasting, and strong collaboration with plant operations
  • Develop and evaluate pricing strategies to maximize profit growth, conduct regular reviews to ensure targets are met, and identify opportunities across markets and plants
  • Conduct competitive analysis to maintain profitable and competitive pricing across products, customers, and production regions
  • Partner with sales teams to balance priorities across volume, market share, price, and margin, driving actions to resolve margin shortfalls
  • Prepare and communicate management information on pricing, margins, plant costs, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals
  • Monitor win rates against targets and recommend corrective actions to improve commercial conversion and operational efficiency

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • You have successfully obtained a university degree in economics, finance, engineering or a comparable field
  • You have more than 8 years of professional experience in the field of Commercial Finance, Plant Financial Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Pricing Analysis in a multinational manufacturing environment
  • You possess a strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes and cost structures, with hands-on experience supporting financial operations at plant level, including inventory management, cost control, and month-end close
  • You have a broad commercial and operational understanding of business activities in the manufacturing sector, with the ability to translate both market insights and plant-level data into actionable commercial strategies
  • You have a deep interest in commercial performance and operational cost efficiency
  • You are highly analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • You are proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with SAP and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, costing modules) is a plus
  • You are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve both commercial and plant financial performance
  • You demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset across processes, reporting, and team capability
  • You communicate simply and confidently
  • You are able to constructively influence peer groups
  • Ability and willingness to travel
