Senior Executive Assistant & Corporate Governance
Job Description
Our notable not-for-profit client is looking for a Senior Executive Assistant to join their exciting & busy team. This role will present many opportunities to work alongside Executive Leaders and a Board of Directors, doing work that is values-driven and making an impact on the world. Their office is located in Toronto, however this is a hybrid working opportunity.
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Direct support to the President & CEO and Board of Directors
- Supporting Board of Directors ensuring they carry out their responsibilities to a standard of excellence and efficiency
- Preparing work plans & agendas
- Drafting meeting notes, recording minutes, and preparing governance policies & by-laws
- Cross-functional team coordination
- Staying informed with requirements set out by affiliated associations
- Relationship management with relevant business partners
- Attend board meetings
- Traditional EA duties: extensive & complex calendar management, meeting coordination, expensing & invoicing, email correspondence, etc.
- Event planning & coordination (I.e. team meetings, fundraisers, donor events, etc)
- Drafting all marketing and communications coming out of the Office of the President & CEO
- Liaising with internal & external stakeholders
- Team lead/mentor to the Executive Assistant team
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as an Executive Assistant, directly supporting Senior Leaders
- Must have experience working alongside a Board of Directors
- Critical thinker with impeccable attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal & written communication skills
- Passion for supporting not-for-profit organizations
